M-Powered Pro tools with Reason and Reaktor?

Sign in to disble this ad
Hi,

I'm slowly building a little home studio and currently evaluating which DAW software to go with.

I worked with Cubase before during college projects but now that I need to buy the software, the price of Pro Tools is much more appealing than Cubase. What I'm wondering though is if the M-Powered version of Pro Tools is completely compatible with Reason and Reaktor through a MIDI controller to record?

well, from what i heard, M-Powered is exactly the same as LE but you have to use M-Audio hardware with it, instead of digidesign stuff... so, with that said, i would assumeit would work fine with reason. i honestly have no clue what Reaktor is though

Thanks Noosh,

Yeah I got my Delta-44 card and Ozone MIDI controller so I should be fine for that and read that Pro Tools has the ReWire option so it means it can work with Reason.

As for Reaktor, which is a Native Instruments VST package for synths, I've read that it can be controlled through MIDI to record with M-Powered and that's what I want to clarify.
