| labgnat i think your thinking of a mic pre not a DI box to get his signal into the computer. You will need in order: microphone, preamp, analog to digital converter. Sometimes these things, including a DI are all built into the same box, like digidesigns mbox. You could do a mic straight into your computer if you got a usb mic. I have not heard the new Rode mics, but they are supposed to be like a professional level podcasting mic. Traditionally broadcast mics make good bass mics so it might be worth checking out. |
