motu 8pre stuck in converter mode

can anyone help me?, my motu 8pre firewire interface has decided to stick itself in stand alone mode as apposed to interface mode. i have been looking round for my manual but i think ive left it at my parents (150 miles away!) cant seem to find any information online either. basically my white macbook isnt finding the 8pre?

anybody know anything about my problem?

I can't help much on the issue itself, but there should be a copy of the manual on the software disc. If you can't find one there, I'm sure you'd be able to hunt one down on the MOTU website (but you need to register for that).

my exact thoughts! but no luck, been working on it all night and to me its starting to look like a problem with the unit.

my only other theory is that i updated OSX and now the drivers arnt working. hmmmm.
