Are there any other cables that have that same feature? I was thinking about getting a 20ft cord but i've seen seriously mixed reviews on them. One guy said that it was a complete waste of $44 and another said that he wouldn't gig without them. I'd just like to look at the competition to see if there is a more stable cord.

Why not buy your own cable and make your own leads, Neutrik make excellent circuit breaker jacks

I'd toss my hat in with the guy who won't gig without them - but, only if you are changing basses.
And, I do not have an answer for your question - I've just used the PW's.

I agree that you can buy your own cable (even PW sells rolls of cable, or find a dealer and cut your own) and shop around for connectors.

I have a PW cable with a circuit breaker on it that I use with my double bass pickup and it's a life saver in church orchestra performances. I just click it off and I don't have to worry about random noise being generated during sermons and such. I've never had a problem with the cable...it's always transmitted a clean signal.

Neutrik makes a circuit breaker jack. . .

Butch at Bayou Cables could make you up a 20ft cord with the Neutrik jacks, probbaly for cheaper than PW.

I'd say just get the PW. I've been using one for a yr and I'm very happy with it. It's a cable, it works when its supposed to and how its supposed to. I like to unplug during the sermon at church so that I don't waste battery life on my bass. If there is another bass player, it's easy to switch instruments when you're not standing close enought to the amp to hit mute. Plus, PW gives a lifetime warranty so if something were to happen, they'd replace the cable.

The circuit breaker cable has a push button as opposed to the other connectors that I have seen that have a spring loaded design....with an active bass the spring loaded design will make a pop when unplugged...with a passive bass though it works fine. I have the circuit breaker and I think it works great.
