This is my first ever post.

I have heard about a piece of kit where you play a CD and you can adjust the tracking so you can for example take out the bass in the song for practice purposes. Can someone please tell me if this infact exists and if so what it is called and how much I can expect to pay for it. Is it worth dishing out the cash for? Im pretty new to bass and I figure a good way of getting to grips with it is by learning plenty of different tracks and learning to keep in time well.

Many many thanks for any advice.
