Preamp to USB?

Ok, so the DI was fail, and Im not sure if I can ground lift based on my other thread.

Anyone know of a *cheap* system that has 1/4" input and thru jacks, and a USB out for audio?

I guess Im basically looking for a DI but with a USB out instead of the XLR. I would like to have the in/thru jacks so that I can use the FX loop of my amp. Right now I can go pre->line with just one cord (but I get a ground loop), so I guess a 1/4" mono->USB might work too.

1 question on that tho: If I get a USB interface for my laptop, will I still get the ground loop like I do going preamp->line?

Not so much a DI as a pedal - but the Zoom B2.1u or whatever it is called has USB out. Think it has XLR too not sure though.

I was kind of hoping to stay away from multi-fx for this one.
