Presonus Audiobox 22VSL latency correction?

I've noticed that when I compare the DAW input to the analog input, there is a little bit of latency for the DAW one. But when I record, I mute the bass sound in the DAW, turn the mixer knob on the Audiobox to the center, and play along to the track using the analog signal. However, when I notice that when I go back to listen to the track, it sounds pretty good. Is there some sort of built in latency correction with it? That seems a little odd. I'm using Reaper and didn't program any latency correction into it.

Most all DAW automatically do latency correction.
You have to really try hard to get it wrong.
As far as latency you hear, I suspect if you adjust your buffers you can get it down low enough you don't hear it. It's pretty common even on cheaper hardware these days.

How does that work? Is it possible it's inaccurate? I seem to have a bad habit of rushing, and I'd hope it's the software.

Also, for some reason, when I turn the mixer knob on the Audiobox itself all the way to VSL (completely digital), and on the VSL mixer in the computer, it seems like the Instrument 1 input in it has no latency, while the DAW input seems to have a little bit. Why would that be?
