presonus bass DI-a/b question

Sign in to disble this ad
I just discovered that I can't run the DI from my head (Eden wt550) directly into my Presonus Firepod--horrrible high whine (happens with all my heads and the Firepod). Apparently the solution is either a passive DI with two outputs and one in, or a splitter? Any Presonus Firepod users out there using a DI or splitter for recoding their bass? What are you using?

Hi matt11,

Have you tried all outputs of the WT550 and get the same issue at the FirePod on all channels of the FirePod? The WT550 has 3 non amplified outputs with the Record Out, Tuner Out, and the Send jack. Do all three produce the same issue on more than one channel of the FirePod?

Thanks. Checked 'em all out. Turned out the problem was some bad wiring at the rehearsal space. Power conditioner solved the problem.
