Problem with Audigy Line-in

Sign in to disble this ad
Has anyone else ever had a line-in jack go bad? I use an audigy (the older variety) and I'm convinced that the line-in jack simply went bad for some reason. I have analog in selected for recording and I've tried blasting it with several different sound sources. The mic in and line out jacks are just fine. As far as I can tell, there's nothing I'm doing wrong from a software standpoint. I think it's just dead. Probably about time for an upgrade anyway.

Well, i was smart enough to blow mine up...... .. the mic input that is.

In a drunken moment, i tried to overdrive the input to use it as a distortion effect...
