If i record something on some lowgrade equipment, like a background track, would it be able to transfer to professional studio equipment and still sound good.

Proffesional-grade equipment will reveal any flaws in a recording, whether low-grade or not. If the low-grade recording sounds crummy, you'll hear it at a pro studio even though it sounds fine on built-in laptop speakers or whatever.

Having said that, plenty of "low-grade" recordings sound amazingly good these days, and the average listener will only notice the most glaring of defects, like popping, clicking, and excessive distortion anyway.
