Hello All, I am new to the recording field and electronics. So the questions will seem pretty much elementary. But how easy is it to say for instance using a digitial recorder like a Korg PXR4 ...make a recording of your band....download with the USB cable to PC....then burn that on a cd....Do I need a special driver in the PC or what? I have software installed on the PC now to burn from Wav files, But I'm not so good at all the steps to get there.
BASSCASE!
I like bass guitars, and bass guitars, and bass guitars HELP!

The recorder will come with any drivers needed. The recorder usually just shows up as another disk drive on your computer.

With recorders that store the files in WAV format, you're done...drag and drop to your burning software.

With recorders that do not store the files as WAV there is usually a conversion utility offered by the manufacturer; for Roland, Zoom and Fostex recorders you have to download it (they don't provide it with the recorder). Not sure about Korg.
