Recording audio from a DVD

Sign in to disble this ad
Is there any software that will allow me to record the audio from a DVD? I have a DVD of a live performance of songs we’re learning at church. I would like to record the songs and convert to MP3’s so that I can slow them down to learn. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I did a search for "dvd audio extraction" in Google and came up with quite a few solutions. You might want to try some of those.

I've never tried, but I'd think with a dual RCA to stereo 1/8" cord, you could connect the two audio-out jacks from a home-DVD player to your computers input and then convert the songs to MP3.

Can't you just burn it to your computer and then compress it and put it on an IPOD?Thats what i normally do.

What you need is a program called vdubmod. It will extract the audio track from the DVD on your hard drive in AC3 lossless format. You can then cut it up with Audacity for example, and compress the piece you want to mp3 format with it.
