Recording with a bass pod xt pro

Sign in to disble this ad
I'm about to start recording a cd for my youth band at church. Just your normal contemporary p&w stuff. I play through a bass pod xt pro live with IEM. I am probably going to use it. If I use my bass I will be using a VM squire j bass. Does anyone have any experience with the pod. let me know. And let me know what settings you find the best for recording. It also has a lot of ins/outs that I'm not really sure what to do with. Any information on using it let me know.

i have used the bass pod for recording..they work fine, im not sure what is on the back (what in and outs) but id think just run it like normal, just don't run it into and amp instead run that cable into a di box or interface..as far as the tone just flip through the pre made tones with head phones on and see what works..

I use the my Podxt for recording. I have the bass amp model pack on it. You can get some really good results with it, but you do have to tweak it to your liking. One piece of advice, don't use any of the presets! I really don't like 98% the presets. On all the presets the bass is cranked so much that it just sounds boomy. I usually turn the bass down to 35% and boost the treble, and the mids a bit. It will really come down to personal taste, but you can get some great sounds from the Pod. I usually use it over my Sansamp because i can that sound from my Pod.

The models i use the most are the Adam & Eve model, Studio Tone, and Rock Classic.

Good luck!
