Recording in a Garage

Sign in to disble this ad
Well, I'm taking the plunge and recording my band in a garage. I want to stuff as much sound proofing materials as possible in there, but money is an issue. We're not due to start recording for at least a week, and so far I have collected 3 old blankets and a section of mattress pad that I had cut up to line an iso booth with.

My question is, does Goodwill or Salvation Army sell old blankets? I've got a staple gun and carte blanche to go nuts with it. The garage isn't that bad to start with, I just want to knock down the reflection a bit.

Gracias my thrifty TB brothers and sisters!

hang from the ceiling so that there is an air gap between the blanket and the walls. Two layers with a few inches between them would be best
