Whats the best way to get good quality recording with garage band. Im not really sure what hardware to buy or anything. Where do I start haha? I just know that a microphone would be pretty bad quality.

if you just want to record guitar/bass, you need a firewire or usb interface. if you want to record midi, you need either a seperate midi interface or a FW/USB that includes midi inputs. Check this out for a bit more info: http://www.tweakheadz.com/guide.htm

Not the best quality for sure!
There is a lot of usb or fire sound card that will help you get a better sound.

What would be a good connection to go usb or firewire. we had a mixer that connects to computers but it only worked with pc. I know my friends dad uses Pandora's box to connect to his computer I think... I always see him jamming and he's connected to it and it has a line going towards his computer
