recording on the go -- best method?

Sign in to disble this ad
I'm currently looking to be able to record simple songs with 3-4 tracks max. As I'm always on the go, I don't think a software based system would work for me. I want to be able to record at practice, at home, or anywhere I have my bass/guitar and amps with me.

I need help/info about a unit that lets me record 3-4 tracks easily and also has pre-made drum tracks. I have about $250 to spend. Also, I want to be able to upload the finished product onto my pc. Any suggestions as I'm a complete noob on this subject and failed to find much info using search? Thanks!

Another new face for field recording

This looked pretty cool to me from Edirol, the R-09.

When I stop buying basses I think I'll get one.

I don't think that is a multi-tracker though. That's more of a field recorder!
