Question Recording-how to go about it

Okay, so here's the scoop. I have a lot of original songs I've written alone, and for any future band of mine to know exactly how I want them to be played, I need to record the songs first. I currently have a drum set, two basses, a GK stack (obviously for bass), and a fender telecaster. I'm looking into buying this recording studio:

and this mic

So thats great and all, but what about my guitar sound? I could record directly to the studio, but the studio effects do not include overdrive or distorion. So I was thinkin of buying this combo amp

I've played on one before and I like the sound.
What I'm posting this for is help on decided whether or not to record directly to the studio, or putting the mic up to the marshall combo amp. If I dont use amp, then I have no way to get overdrive I want. Unless I just buy this pedal

But then I have to go through the trouble of trying to use the recording studio for other effects.

What would you do: Go with putting mic up to amp or directly to studio? Or with OS-2 pedal?

Thanks for your help guys!

Are you sure the BR-1200 doesn't have distortion? I'm sure it has a model of an OS-1 among others in it.

If not, and if you want to use other effects too, and maybe a few more tone modeling options, I'd look at the Line6 Pod range. The cheapest, the Pocket Pod, sells for about the same as an OS-2 and will give you a load of other stuff, including respectable amp modelling.
