Recording interfaces?

Hello fellow TBe'rs. Im new to recording. I need a jump start into the recording world. I was wondering whats a good recording interface to use with sony acid pro or garageband? Im familiar of how to work the programs for electric pianos, not so mucha real intrument.

that depends on whether you're into softsynths/ VST stuff or more into recording the actual instrument that you play yourself.

mbox2 rocks my socks. and comes with pro tools. works on both mac and PC(but check compatibilty first) it also comes with a bundle of plugins(reason adapted, ableton adapted) or you can get those programs elsewhere on the internet.
