Recording our new demo on my PC. Need some tips.

First off i know this is not the proper way to do things. Its more an experiment but hoping it will work.

The band have a few weeks off from gigs so we thought we would do a new demo.

Heres the plan.
Ive got some midi and .kar files of the songs we are going to do.
I plan to put those in Sonar 8, and track by track replace the midi parts with real instruments. We will probably use guitar rig to do this, certainly we wont use amps.
My singer will do the vocals on his PC, probably in audition 3 and send me the .wav files to put in to sonar.
Once we have everything replaced we plan on taking the PC in to a rehearsal studio to record the drums, probably just as a single take stereo track or with an overdub.

Right, so other than the drum recording can anyone think of anything that i should watch out for. We aren't aiming for a Pro sounding finished master, just something we can put on our website.
I know the quality will be fine, its more the logistics of doing it that im concerned about.

Cheers.
