Well - my 3 peice Ska punk band are recording tomorrow -
I havnt got a spare set of strings (this may be bad - i know) so i was thinking of maybe taking two basses just in case. Does anyone else take a backup bass for recording?

Also - what else do people take to record - this is the second time ive recorded an EP - i normally take:

Bass
Amp
Plenty of picks
Spare cables
lyrics (as i sing and play)
tuner pedal
Spare 9v's

Any one think of anything else to take?

Cheers in advance!

Always take multiple basses, because a bass that sound good for live may sound like crap or be too noisy for recording.

strings string and more strings. 2 of the 3 strings i have broken have been in the studio (one was from putting the new string on, and stretching it too much, the other was from digging in too hard on the G, and it unraveled). if you dont have a spare set, buy one or 2 sets. its better to spend $50 on 2 sets of strings (or possibly more depending on which strings you use, then waste precious studio time.
