Sony MDR-7506 vs Sennheiser HD 280 Pro

Hi all, I'm looking for headphones mainly for quiet/portable practice and sometimes for tracking. I won't need them for mixing, but I think a flat response is desirable for dialing up usable sounds on a Pod/V-amp type unit.

The top 2 contenders seem to be the Sony MDR-7506 and the Sennheiser HD 280 Pro. Lots of praise posted here for both models, but I've seen mixed reviews on both as well.

Anybody done an A/B comparison with these two? Which would be better for dialing up various bass amp models? How about hotel room practice while traveling?

TIA for your replies.
