Studio Monitors in Lieu of Bass Amp

Thinking of killing many birds with one big brain (mine.)

Genius or folly? Bandmates will probably laugh at me.. what else is new

Great for the bedroom or personal recording studio, but I don't think studio monitors could be loud enough. Most are near-field speakers. My KRK Rokit 8's are powered by 140 watt amplifiers in each monitor and they wouldn't be loud enough for a large room.

Monitors are for near field listening not projecting to fill a room.

It works fine for practicing by yourself, but if you try and get to band volume you're going to blow your monitors.
