Tascam DP-01FX/CD...help with recording.

Anyone in here have this unit? I am going to be using it for recording band practice initially and will just have a condenser mic hooked into track 1 while we play, etc. Any thoughts or suggestions to make this recording come out well?

If you have a PA try to record form the board instead. If you don't invest in a small mixer and try to have a seperate mic on the kick so it is really present in the mix. This is very helpful for figuring out why you don't quite sound in time when you were sure it was tight while you were playing.

Short of that don't expect much in the way of high quality sound unless you have very good gear, flawless musicianship and a really great rehearsal space.
