Tascam Pocketstudio DP-004 - SD Card

Sign in to disble this ad
I recently bought a Tascam Pocketstudio DP-004 4-track recorder. It uses SD memory cards for the recording media. The supplied 1 GB card yields a decent amount of time, but I would like something more. Tascam's website has a list of tested SD cards that work or don't work in the DP-004.

My question is if it's worth it to buy the higher speed, more costly SD cards. There is a significant difference in price between the typical class 4 and the faster class 6. I don't know if the recorder can read/write to the card faster if a high speed card is used. Any experiences?
