Check out one of the Korg rackmount tuners or Peterson pedals, they are a little pricey though.

Yeah, Korg and Peterson are the favorites over in the fx forum. If you don't need a stomp switch then there's a cheapo by Sabine called the STX1100 which I just picked up, and it is simple and steady and accurate enough.

A Sabine tuner put inline works just fine for my needs.

My favorite for less than $100 is the Boss TU-12H. Needle doesn't jump around like most and it's pretty durable.

+1. It's also got a range selection that's useful for guitars and for setting intonation.

The Peterson StroboStomp is the last tuner you will ever need. The most accurate and fast. Also, the most expensive

Great pedal, great company

I think someone on here may have mentioned this tuner before. I've been doing some searching as well so that I have a tuner to do set-ups as well as just normal tuning. But there is the turbo-tuner, which seems to have equal accuracy to the peterson tuner, but is only $129.99. It's not a stompbox, but it depends on what your needs are.

I do not own this tuner, but I was thinking of picking one up as soon as some cash flows my way.

Korg's DT10 is a pedal version of their famous rackmount tuner. It's very precise (moreso than the Boss or Planetwaves, not that it's a big deal for live use) and it doesn't jump around much. It's a great little pedal for under 100$.

Be as in tune as you will ever need to be, and never feel the need to own another tuner. The Peterson gear is a good investment.

Are we talking Peterson (virtual) strobe tuners? Those are the only ones I've seen by them. I've got one for setups and I love it- it turned art into science when I set intonation. That said, it's not what I'd call a steady, easy to use tuner. Onstage, for a quick check at the beginning of the set I use a $40 Fender chromatic tuner. Easy to see LED's, steady and reliable. Much quicker for me than the strobe would be. In the studio or for setting intonation I'll use the Peterson, but it's not well suited for a quick tune up at a gig. IMO.

I have had great luck with my Boss TU-2. But then "tuning up" usually means plugging in the tuner, hitting a note on each string, and watching the led go green

Really, I am just looking to see if any tuning keys have been hit.
