| That Behringer package doesn't mention the quality of the audio conversion - that would be the major factor in the quality of recording you're going to get. I would guess, however, that it's going to be pretty bad analog-to-digital conversion, and therefore you will not get a very good result. I know it's cheap, but if you save up just a bit you could get something much better for not much more money. The quality necessary for podcasting is not on the same level as recording music.
I'm cheap, so I sympathize with your situation. Since the dollar has fallen so much, you should be able to get something on ebay from an American for a great price, even including shipping. I have a Presonus Firebox, which is cheap, but much better than the Behringer package. If you can find one for a good price on ebay, but the seller says he won't ship out of the US, just offer him a little extra money, and he'll probably do it. |
