Bernstein's Mass

Anyone ever played Leonard Bernstein's Mass? I just got an offer to play in its premiere here in Pittsburgh, but I'd have to drop several other gigs. I'm not familiar with the piece, but I know that's it's a massive work for musicians, singers, and dancers. Anyone have any experience playing it or, perhaps, just listening to it?

Yes, I'm quite familiar with this piece. Like most of Berstein's stuff, its quite unbelievably bad. Do it for the money, bass part no problem.

I just played it about 2 months ago. It was pretty cool to be a part of the show, but the piece itself isn't all that fun.

I'd say go for it, it'd be quite the experience.
