| Hey Mcnaire, I actually used Bottesini method book two when I first started learning thumb position. The etudes get progressively harder (there are about 70 of them) and the fingerings are traditional, at least in the book I used, which was from the yorke edition. About half-way through the etudes, the primary focus switches to harmonics, and then back to more difficult performance etudes. The bowings are typical also. It's a wonderful book that really will help polish your thumb position. It takes you through most all of the keys. So if you're looking for etudes along those lines, I would recommend it. |
