Historical Footage

Hi everyone,

http://youtube.com/watch?v=1lI7icWPf...elated&search=

I found an awesome link about when Claudio Abbado first became the next music director to succeed Karajan of the Berlin Philharmonic in 1990. What I love about this clip is Abbado is rehearsing the 3rd mvt of Mahler 1. Rainer Zapperitz is playing the solo in the beginning.... he seems a bit nervous. But all in all very exciting stuff.

Hope you enjoy

Don't worry, there are English subtitles for all non-German speakers.
