The Power of Good Teachers

Man, I just walked away from one of the best lessons I've ever had. It's so awesome to work hard to achieve some kind of proficiency with the bass and bow...and have your teacher reward you by showing you so many more ways to help you learn and grow, to show you that there's so much more beauty that can be achieved in a line or song if you keep yourself moving forward.

Those out there that get daily exposure to quality playing standards through demonstration are really lucky folks. I feel blessed to get exposed to this stuff as much as I am able, to be given the opportunity to emulate what I hear and see at any frequency.

Never underestimate the power of a good teacher...
