Tremolo

Hi,

When ever I do tremolo it feels so unnatural and doesn't sound too great. What is basic tremolo technique on where to place the bow and how to operate it, I will probably address this problem at my next lesson but I thought I should get soem feedback on here first,

At first, try using the tip of the bow. Relax your wrist. The wrist is where the movement should be coming from, not the elbow or shoulder.

You play DB, Jon? Interesting websites....

Tremelo has always been a sore point (pun not intended) for me, and I survived it largely by doing exactly what Jon said. Relaxed wrist is essential for me! I did some show, can't recall what it was, that tremelo'ed for days on end. Any tightness in my wrist, and I would have been a dead man after the first show.
