Unhappy Bad thumb

I know how to keep my left hand on the neck, knuckles out, but i hjave a hitchhikers thumb (it curves) so its hard to get it right, if i force myself, it doesnt feel natral, any suggestions?

hi,

my suggestion is to play the way it feels most natural and that way you might more easily avoid injury. my opinion is there is no absolute "right" way to play and instead it should be up to the cat who's playing to find their "own" way. different pokes for different folks.
