Any advice for a guy about to play his first gig? I've been playing bass for a few years now, self taught, and my friend and I have managed to put together a band. He started on guitar the same time I started on bass. When we started I never thought we'd be in a band and trying to get gigs at this point. Guess I got a late start since I'm 33, but ya gotta start somewhere! Anyway, we're playing our first gig on 05/30 at a party. Any do's and dont's? We only get to practice as a unit about 3 times a month so I'm worried we won't be ready for the show as we could be. At least my friend and I. The other two guys in the band are local music scene vets, and I think they'll do fine. I just don't want to choke!
