Mike, a Porno for Pyros question

Mike, I really like your bass line to the song Good Gods Urge. Did you record that song with a P-Bass? When you record in the studio, do you go from your bass to a preamp and then to the board or do you mic your cab?

thanks

curt,

I used my blue gibson thunderbird II (http://hootpage.com/tbirdII.jpg) going through a directbox to the desk. we recorded in the kitchen of the house they were living at in malibu - perk had his kickdrum under the eating table! maybe I used my eden amp setup too (and that in turn was miked up) but I can't remember.

on bass, watt
