Couple of questions; What made you go with the nord pickups?

where did you get the wood? nice clean type grain it looks like.

what type of finish are you going to use? personally, i would go with tung oil, for a natural feeling finish, and sounds better, just a tad.

When I was looking into custom basses, before I was building my own, I saw that alot of people were using them. I like that the Phat Stacks, Big Splits, Big singles and Dual Coils all have the same foot print. Nordstrand will also build them to what spacing you want for a little extra. I love the Big Splits I have in my six string.
I purchased the wood off ebay. Nearest shop is an hour and a half away.
I have been using a thin satin finish, I can still feel the grain. I would like to get into tung oil finishes, I like the concept.

I have a jig for the band saw for cutting the neck for the scarf joint. It works ok, but I was wondering if anyone had an another good way?

A zero clearance sled and good square fence gives me a perfect glue joint with no additional work.

Nice. With that setup, what is your total depth of cut?

The owner of this bass wanted to see the neck woods in the headstock. Since I use the scarf joint I normally veneer the headstock the same as the body to hide the glue joint. So for this one I took some of the extra wood from the neck and made a veneer matching the neck for the headstock. This seemed like to much work on the chance it wood just be over looked, so I put some padouk between them.

Just enough

I am using a 10" blade, a 3/4" sled, and my necks are 2.5" wide. The Unisaw has a bh of headroom left. Perfect for 4 and 5 string but the wider necks go to the bandsaw then the jointer to get a glue joint.
