5 string j-bass neck

I think i know the answer, but, is it possible to run 5 strings on a standard jazz bass neck...???
i'm looking to find/make a 5 string neck as thin as possible at the nut to accomodate "small hands"...

Seem to remember Wilkinson doing a 4 to 5 conversion kit. Kinda cool as the string tee anchors your D string. Good Luck.
