5 String singlecut

A singlecut neck thru design,
all maple bass.

It is 55 mm.
Definitely not a thin one..

Why the odd asymmetry of the body? Is there some ergonomic goal you have in mind?

Yeah but that Fodera is semi-hollow. Unless you chamber it you'll just have unnecessary weight.

Yeah, my regular thickness cherry and maple body bass is about 12 pounds! And that has two chambers. I'd hate to think how heavy that's going to be.

Is the top glued on yet? If not, you can add some chambers.

I like the body shape I have tried a similar method of moving the center of the bass closer to the top of the bass. When playing sitting down it is more comfortable. Since the top is glued on I would suggest doing heavy chambering from the back and then adding a back set that matches the top set but that is his option. He may be a young pup with a strong back .....t

Adding a back will be hard when he does a tummy cut, but not impossible. You can do the contouring, then rout chambers, and then glue the back on.
