i was looking for some opinions on a project bass im looking at currently. i want to take a douglas pices bass and replace the pups with seymour duncans. ive seen other people do similar projects and ussually the strings dont line up correctly with the pole pieces on the pickups but would a stock fender bridge or a nut replacement fix this? oh and f course i want to cut the telebass headstock in and stain the body in a butterscotch transparent like the original.

the jay turser might work for you, at the moment i'm in the middle of modding my jb62 jazz bass, so my tele project might be a few weeks away

true the dillion does look like what id like as a finished project but its also like $500 more than both the douglas and the turser

i mite pick up a turser and just play that but i have a feeling ill mod it eventually.
