im not a luthier, but i thought it would be cool to buy a neck and pickups and a preamp and neck and all that good stuff and put together my own bass. Sadly, the only site i can find that sells 6 string bodies and necks is warmoth gecko stuff. and i cant say im crazy about a giant lizard on my fingerboard, or the shape of the body. anyone know anywhere else that would work?

you can buy all the parts for a 4 string for way cheaper than you can buy one...im sure a six would still be low, and how can you say that it would be more expensive when you nor anybody else has even posted a place to buy this stuff?

The "Gecko" neck is available without the gecko inlay.

I'm pretty sure rpatter's right, I think they make the neck without an inlay.

How about a Carvin neck through - you shape the body yourself.
