updates

a few updates.

the rear cavity has been routed into the body

I did a lamination of Sapele on the rear of the headstock to match the body.
here it is before I drilled for the tuner holes and dyed it

Here it is after the holes were drilled and the wood dyed

Tony asked that the front of the body be whitewashed
here's the body after whitewashing

and the headstock after the ebony inlay(sorry I forgot to take photos) and the whitewashing

next step is to dye the body and then seal and lacquer

Updates

Hi.

It's been a minute and I have several updates.

The bass has been whitewashed, sealed, lacquered , buffed and put together. I still need to make the nut and dress the frets, but for today we are using another nut that has been shimmed to work.

Todays efforts are to finish all nut and fretwork and get her ready to leave for the Rock and Roll Legends cruise next week.
