8 string for Scott Fernandez

Hi Friends. I'm starting this new thread with a great project for a great player.

Scott Fernandez needs no introduction. He is one of the bassist with better projection in this moment, because his playing style, personality and humanity.

Like everybody knows, he plays BIG basses; a 12 string single course and a 18 string triple course. Also, he plays a 4 string, too

With this new 8 string, we'll try to create something very versatile, an instrument capable to be played with all kind of techniques (fingering, slap, tapping...) but flexible at the same time, to adapt most of Scott's ERB songs.

Also, it is going to be so compact at the same time, because the Headless system.

These are the specs:

-8 string bass
-Prat Reverse shape
-Headless
-36" to 34" multi scale with fanned frets
-Birdseye maple, 28 frets
-7 pieces neck: padouk with curly maple stripes
-Curly maple body cores, with full camphor burl top and back
-Villex pickups
-Noll 3 band totally parametric preamp
-ETS headless system

So we continue with Scott's bass. These are the 2 pieces of padouk and wenge I chose for the neck:

Then, with the band saw, I cut all the pieces I need (4 padouk, 3 wenge):

I wonder how much this will weigh in relation to his other Prat bass
