Many thanks Giel. All the wood used in this bass with the exception of the veneer has been supplied by Larry at Gallery hardwoods.

It should sound great too, My home-build-bass has a white limba body (which I assume sounds the same) and it sounds amazing!
Looking forward to see more progress pics!

I really like the black limba visually and it works really well and as you say sounds good. Should make some progress today with a bit of luck.

Many thanks guys.
Dave deserves full credit for all of his input and giving me an excuse to work with all this lovely wood.
All the woods used in the bass with the exception of the veneers came from Larry at Gallery Hardwoods.

What me? All I did was tell you what I liked and you made everything work!!!

Hey all, you should know that Alan has been nothing but amazing to work with from the very beginning at the wood selection stage right through to finalizing the details... And I can't tell you how much I like his models!!! He was even completely open minded when I asked him to tweak his own design! How many guys would have even considered doing that?

And then he sends updates and photos every day or two. He sure knows how to keep me involved and updated even though we're a 6 hour flight from each other!

I couldn't ask for a better guy to work with! And I REALLY can't wait to see it in person!
