Acoustic style bridge

I have reasoned that I can put an acoustic style bridge on my fretless build, as I do not need to stress too much about intonation at the 12th fret and such. it will still be angled to make sure the string intonation is there.
Is my assumption correct?

yessir - works beautifully. I used a piezo bridge saddle on this build from several years ago ...
