adding a neck pickup

Sign in to disble this ad
I have a Stagg MB300 5 string vintage B series, its a Musicman copy, w/1 bridge humbucker, 1 vol & 1tone (250K each). I have a Musicman pickup that I'd like to add. The plan, resize the bridge cutout, install M-man, relocate smaller original hummer to neck, add stacked vol & seprate tone. I'm looking for a brighter sound for slapping, Question, how should I connect the p-ups, what anomolies could I expect to see and what are the workarounds? Should I use 500K or 250K for tone/vol?

Is it passive or active? Any pics of the control cavity?

Passive, control cavity is accessed by removing the control plate, here's a link to a site showing the ol' girl.
