Epoxy for the body seems like an overkill to me.
For the fretboard may if the wenge is not holding up against the strings abuse (especially if roundwound). But some would say the wenge feels best unfinished (and I agree).
As for the rest of the body/neck, what woods are you using? Oil is fine and it might have a positive effect on the tone compared to epoxy (may be?).
If you want more protection, some NC clear coats would be good too. |
