Anyone do complicated custom inlays?

I'm doing quite the logo inlay for my bass on the headstock, my last name in hand writing and then mirrored on the bottom. I will put some pictures up later tonight.
I've already broken off to little parts but I'm hoping they will either superglue back on or just sit in there nicely when I'm actually gluing them in.
Let's see some of your inlay work!

So super-gluing the broken off pieces worked pretty good. I'm coming along with my design, but I need to do ALOT of filing with some needle files to clean it up.

That's quite the inlay work you got going there. It looks great. I use a jewelers band saw with a diamond blade to cut mine.

There is a TBer named cajunrocker who has a bass with INSANE inlays. He should be able to tell you who did it.

Hold on, Im'a find that thread.

Edit: Here ya go. It was done by the aforementioned Larry Robinson:

Inlays! Inlays!! Inlays!!! Show me your inlays!!!!!!

Thank you, yeah it's 100% wenge and maple. I don't mind it at all really, I did tear quite the chunk out when I was shaping the body (with a rough file) but it's not noticeable anymore. I've also heard scary things about fretting a wenge fretboard so we'll see how that goes. Why don't you like working with it?

Haha, I'll have to build you a bass once I get a shop set up!

Thanks alot, I didn't realise at first what a project the inlay would be. I have the pearl cutting jig from stewmac and a jewelers saw.

here's the inlay that's on my bass which is currently being made for me by Marko Ursin (MPU basses). It's my name.
