Anyone ever use Bocote?

I recently replaced the Western red cedar top of my semi-hollow fretless with bocote, which comes from Mexico. It is a beautiful, highly-figured wood, and seems very hard. It looks really cool on my bass, and I was wondering if anyone has any experience with it. I bet it would make a great fretless fingerboard, for it seems very hard.

Warmoth offers that option on their necks...very nice looking wood.

I've used it for tops, and once or twice for fingerboards. Alembic offers it as a top wood.

It's quite nice, but I think it's probably not as durable as some of the other options out there for fretless. I think the ebonies, purpleheart, and cocobolo are probably all going to wear longer.
