Anyone know of luthiery schools/programs in California?

I was wondering if anyone knows if there are any luthiery schools or programs in California, preferably Southern California. I will be changing careers in about 5 years and would like to pursue luthiery and learn it from pros without having to bother a luthier about an apprenticeship. I have an extensive woodworking background, but luthiery is a blend of art and craft.

I know of Robert Venn in Arizona, but I need to remain the breadwinner in my family while I'm learning. Anyone suggestions?
