Well in previous thread I mentioned getting the wood, well here it is;
Click Here
All that is going to (hopefully) turn into a 6 string bass with the following spec's;
-Set Neck
-34" scale
-Single truss rod with two carbon fibre supports
-2 home made soapbar pups (43 gauge wire, still researching into aspects of this to see whats most likely to suit me best)
-Winters Custom 5 band EQ
-ETS Black Mark III Angular 2 peice bridge; adjustable string width but normal of 16.5mm
-Wooden nut (not sure which of the woods I'm going to use but I have some options, also if this fails I have a bone nut to install)
-Gotoh Tuners
-Quilted top (as you can see in the pictures)
-Bulgarian Walnut back (as you can also see on the pictures)
Hmm what else can be said ....
Well unfortunately I need some help from my dad to start this project so I have to wait a few days before I can get started but I am still waiting for the bridge to be delivered so I haven't got a finalised plan drawn up because of that either. Depending on the final measurements of the neck laminates I should be able to get two necks out of it for if one goes wrong or for a second bass (would like a fretless twin of the one I'm about to make but thats a bit ambitious for now)
Also, fretboard options, wenge,b.e.maple,wenge or b.e.maple,wenge,b.e.maple? There is a crapy paint examples attached.
