Basically im looking for plans on how to build a bass from scratch. I need to know what tools how thick like a two piece body should be and what liquids glues and polishes to use.

You can get measurements from basses you have or like (bring a tape measure with you to the store). Advice on tools and materials can be found in Melvyn Hiscock's "Make your own electric guitar". He builds several different designs, including a neck-thru 8 string bass.

I have that book and it's very informative... Going to build my own as soon as I find space for all the equipment..
